Fate of Brother

You said that...

And what happened? So she saw my brother get out from the ghetto and he got shot.

He es...he was trying to escape the ghetto?

No, no, no. For, for no reason. What are you talking, for no reason. There was no reason there.

No, I don't mean that's why they shot him. When--was he leaving to try to, to get away from the ghetto?

No, he went to work, so they kill a few people. That's why I am angry. If, if comes in Rabbi ??? he will tell you. He, he hasn't been in those situations. He cannot say a word. He will say yes--one thing is what I remember is he said, he said on the television--he says, "One thing I saw a rabbi with his son and he jumped into a well--a Brunnen--they call 'em in German, it's Brunnen--a well, you know. In a little town like Ostrowiec.

I see. And your brother just was...

One, and the other one uh, I got uh, a doctor told me he was in the hospital and the hospital was burned down, on ??? on Warsaw. Which is--they cannot deny, this is a true story. Nobody can deny. They come in and they, and they burn and they shoot the people and that's it.

Was this during the uprising?

No, no, no, no. Before, before.
