B'nai B'rith Survivor Organization

Everything at the end. I wasn't for sure. Maybe in Florida I'll call you.

Yeah, yeah.

Husband: Maybe in the summer.

Do you come back here?

We have all summer. We come visiting, I mean our son, our son lives in West Bloomfield, we'll come to see you. And we have our friends. I think, you see, we are ???. You know ??? Sharit Haplaytah--the B'nai B'rith. Have you heard of the B'nai B'rith Albert Einstein Chapter? That's all our ??? You know what, I was one time to a convention in uh, Bay City. So we had a Jessica Cooper, she was running for judge then, and she has a family that they belonged to this chapter, chapter and lodge--Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein chapter and lodge was formed in the early '50s from the survivors. She said, she knows our people, she knows our English, she knows our performance, she knows our--we are different--we are like an entirely different breed of people but we are very normal. How we function normal, I don't know, but we do. Did I make any nonsense? No.

I'll tell you what I'd like you to do then. Put your son's name and phone number, okay, and then during the summer I'll put it on my calendar...

Yeah.

...and tell me when you're coming in, I'd like to see you again...

Yeah, yeah...

...talk with your husband.

...yeah.

And I'd also like to find out uh, how your children listened to the tape and what they thought.

Yeah, my son's going to like it, but I don't know why. You know, I always--it's not the first time, now while we're on the subject--many times I asked myself, "Why do I--what--why don't I tell him survive?" I tell him a little bit more--I didn't tell him all, but a little bit more.

Husband: ???

And when I said, I don't give myself the answer, but I do think that I'm afraid. I'm afraid and I try to shy away from it--from the pain.

Husband: Sometimes you don't want to...

No, no, I'm trying to shy away from the pain, that's what...
