Riva Baker, circa 1995

27). Riva Baker approximately ten years ago.

Riva Baker and Steve Gershman 28). Riva Baker and Steve Gershman. Her cousin Marilyn Magerman took this photo in August, 2003, a year before she passed away. I included this photo because the other pictures show Riva as a young woman. You look at that sweet smile of hers and wonder how could a person who lost her entire family and her husband and endured such atrocities in her life remain without bitterness? That is the kind of person Riva was and that image of her will remain with me forever.
