Religious Life

Was it a religious family?

Well uh, it uh, was, yes, to a degree, they were orthodox. But they're not the kind of orthodox that you picture with long payes and... Although I did wear payes up to about nine years old.

Yeah.

But payes, which it means uh, sidelocks, locks, you know.

But, you're modern orthodox.

Right. Kind of, you know. And then uh, uh, I happened to be the chosen one in, by my, by my mother and instead of just trying to send me to public schools I went to private schools, including a gymnasium, which is like high school over there, which wasn't too popular at that time.
