Did you ever think when you were a child--did you ever wonder why this was happening to you and other Jewish children?
I did, I did and I still wonder. As an adult that went through that kind of a childhood, my favorite cousin who was in Auschwitz and in Buchenwald and then after the war came to England--he was brilliant. He was a writer and editor of the, of the Jewish paper publication that came out--comes out every week in England--an Orthodox man and an Orthodox publication, the Jewish Tribune--my cousin said to me, "Hanna, this is going to happen again. It just takes some time and it turns what goes around comes around." He's not alive to see it but his children are and they remember this and it's his grandson who wrote that article about my grandson.
About Havi?
About Havi.
Let's talk a little bit about that.
Pardon?
Let's talk a little bit about that. There was a front page article in the Jewish Press about your grandson Havi when he was stationed--this was two years ago, was it?
Yes.
Um...
It was just before the Lebanese--the second Lebanese war.
He was in a tank unit...
Yes.
...and they were attacked by Hezbollah...
Yes.
...and you said that, "This is what we have to deal with in Israel," is what you said to me. The article said he survived as did the rest of the unit uh, I would say, but was traumatized.
Oh, yes.
