Uh, was your family uh, involved in any political uh, parties or groups?
Yeah, my father belonged to the Agudat Israel. It was a Hasidic--I mean, religious uh, party. I mean it wasn't a, uh... Basically it was a ??? in the Jewish uh, population. There was a lot uh, Jewish uh, like ??? like Agudat Israel ??? Halutz and Betar. Agudat Israel was strictly religious uh, Hasidic organization. Which in later years it caught into the war, they adopted Zionist ways and means to go to Israel and work and uh, that when Hitler--after Hitler came to power because we realized that Europe is a hot fire actually to explode where Jews will actually perish. We didn't know that, that there is going to be a Holocaust but we could feel it all over Europe. It was a plague that Jews actually felt more and more before the war that uh, ???.
