Life in Italy II

So you learned Italian then?

Yeah, I know Italian pretty good.

Did you, uh...

I learned to read and write, too.

Did you live with a woman there?

I lived with lots of women there. I can't remember who's who.

Did you try to find out who survived from your family?

I couldn't find nobody. All I find is my brother in Israel.

Did you look?

No, you see, I was traveling. In Italy, I got a Red Cross passport. Some girl make me a Red Cross passport. She work for the Red Cross and I used to date her, you know.

Uh-huh.

I paid her $500. You know why? When I left Italy, they have to let me back in, you know. This way, they could've let me in, if I went out of Italy, like for a visit. I was going to Morocco, you know, Casablanca, you know.

Did you go to Casablanca?

Yeah.

Why?

I just want to go, that's all.
