March From Auschwitz III

You said some women tried to give you water in the boxcar.

Yeah, in Prague. In Prague, some woman. See they went to work the lunch, they did throw the lunches, you know with some drink of water, what they had. So they didn't let them, they killed them, they shoot them.

The Germans killed them. And you watched them kill them.

Yeah, I see with my eyes. They was thrown and they took out the lunches from the boxes and they throwed it. And we ask for water, so when we drank water, if they know what it is they kill the, the woman. They shoot them.

How did you react to them being shot?

Ah, what can I do? I couldn't react, I couldn't even move.

What did people do in the car? Did they scream, did they cry?

Yeah, screaming. Water, water, water.

And there were German guards by the train.

Hm?

And the German guards by the train shot them.

Yeah. All over, all over, guards.
