Death of Friend in Israel

Well, in '79, early '78, 1979 it was before the holidays, you know. And I wasn't even--I knew that it's on the street where she was working for a lawyer. And uh, and she went back to work when she came to Israel. She was extremely exhausted and uh, I, I knew--she's never at this time, you know, and she said to her if you want to stay, she stayed longer because right before the holidays she wanted to do some shopping and so on. And they absolutely tore her apart. She was there too long in the hospital. Never regained consciousness. Her, her daughter was pregnant in the seventh month. And she, she got injured and. I cannot tell you what she went. And she went to have a minor operation so she would be a healthy grandmother and to, to be able to take care of the grandchildren and so on. And she was, she was waiting for the grandchild like, like nobody else. She didn't even have the chance to, I mean, the grandchild was born two weeks before her death, but she, she was--they gave her national, I don't know, honors. So her daughter, daughter is very, is as efficient as the mother. Fantastic. They are very, very talented women and uh, my daughter was married, has a child. I was in Israel. Then I was, I didn't, I didn't go for four years. It was almost impossible for me to go there. That was two years ago that would be in summer, and in fall two years. One and a half year. It was very hard. People change there to, they do get much harder. It's a very hard life, very, very hard. Although uh, they have to be admired. You know, life goes on and...

Sure.

...what happens, happens. Well, we do too here. I mean, you know, here in another because--two, three weeks ago when this professor from Wayne was killed, he was a very good friend of ours. Stepped in his house. I, I told my daughter I should write a book about terrorism all over the world.
