Life in Italy II

But Uncle ??? and his wife and daughter--he was in the army but somehow he got out and um, he went and got his wife and daughter and he was in Germany. And um, I think my recollection of ??? was a happy times. It was, you know, it was sort of good times. I was um, there I was going to school--well, of course, I was much older then and I, I was somewhat self-reliant maybe because of the war or what have you. I learned Italian pretty well--I could speak Italian direct. And I went to Rome many times because it's real close. Uh, and uh, and I liked school a lot. I learned a lot of stuff. It was a board school that taught us different things and so--was just, just a good period that I can remember The things that I learned: how to ride a bike, I learned how to swim, I learned a lot of stuff at that time. Um, then my Uncle ??? came to ???--he heard about that we were there and then also my Uncle David, showed up there.
