Religious Activity in Camp

In the, in the barracks was there the kind of religious activities that went on in the men's barracks that your husband talked about?

SK: Was there...

Did the, did the women pray at all?

SK: ...praying? Not at all?

LK: No, not at all, not at all. ???

SK: ???

LK: Oh, ??? we decided ??? whatever will be will be, we won't eat. ??? came in and saw the plate and he beat us there and ??? and he didn't eat with us. "You will eat," and we said, "No." And he said, "I will be back." He came back after ??? and said, "If you don't eat tonight you won't get nothing tomorrow night either so you will receive two days without food or you die." So, we said, "Fine, we'll die but we won't eat." He walked out. We didn't eat for forty-eight hours, I mean, we didn't meant to. By that we decided--the whole block, you know, we decided no way we can do that and that ??? punish us ??? the heat ??? even with the heat ???. By Christmas Eve ??? very, very bad to go. I don't know. For my safety I knew they're very bad and I don't know how she really survive because most ??? when they found out that you had a very bad ??? and I don't know how she really survived ??? when they found out that you are a very bad, okay? Then was even, it was even worse when they find that out so most of them they kill right there in the barracks. By this ??? I don't care. Even if they will kill us I will give you a little ??? and she went over to the ??? of wood ??? because the people in charge of the camp went home and they were in charge outside and she went out and she ??? and mad--wasn't fired but was mad ??? could go out ???

SK: Yeah.
