Being shot

Let me take you back to... You said you were shot in--at Buchenwald? Is that where you...

Yeah, just before we got to Buchenwald.

What made you think you could escape at that point?

No, the thing, I can't do anything else unless I run away, and maybe not live anyway. So it looked like not to do, like nobody saw me or something, I'm going to run.

And then you were shot.

Yeah. I wasn't too far away, so I was able to get up still and get, join the line of the people.

So you didn't go to the krankenstub?

No, no, no. That's why I still have a big scar because where it healed, it was never healed ???.

You took care of it yourself?

Yeah. Well, with the help of some people. There were some people there, still had some human beings.

But they weren't all human beings, right.
