Religious Life

How about a typical Friday night, can you describe that for me?

Oh yeah. Friday night, it had to be challah and chicken soup. And uh, everybody and we light the candles. My mother was uh, a little more religious than my father was. Uh, she used to wear a sheitel.

Mm-hm.

Yeah. And uh, the kids, we were not as religious as, as people think we were, you know. We were more uh, uh, free. And. So uh, Friday night everybody had to be home for Shabbos. And when it's Shabbos it had to be a challah and chicken soup and all the stuff which comes with it. And, and that uh, talk politics, and you know, we had a lot of people coming in and visit us, and stuff like that. It was a very, very nice warm home to grow up in, so.
