Did you witness any severe punishments while you were there?

Punishments I can't recall so much uh, there, except uh, hunger and pain. And, and as a matter of fact, when I did uh, come out from there uh, my liver was three times the size as a normal girl should have had. When I was uh, in kibbutz after the war, I went to a doctor and uh, and he told me I shouldn't eat certain foods because my liver is uh, affected by uh, this hunger. And I was swollen, terribly swollen.

You said that the, the SS in the camp told all of you at the time before, just before you were liberated that you weren't to leave the camp area. And they, themselves...
