And you stood in Appell every morning.

Yes.

The Germans counted you.

You see, I see you know. Yes, Appell. Uh, as a matter of fact, you remember more than I do from people who are telling you about it. Uh, as uh, as I say, you know, it's hard for one person to remember because at that point it did not register uh, right away and uh, we didn't think that we're going to live through and be here to remember to tell the story It was not a story, it was a reality to us.

After you stood in line, is that when you received your ration?

Uh, no, we were s...uh, not in li...in line we standing to count. That was Appell. In line...
