Oh yes, right...
What year was that?
Uh, that was in 19...uh, '40. Yes. We were making our own. We had to make our own.
Yes, and you wore that all of the time?
Oh yes, in the ghetto.
And outside?
Out...outside the ghetto too. And, of course, the discrimination from the Polish people were--grew even worse.
Can you describe that?
Well, we just uh, when you--we were walking in the street uh, there's a Jew coming, and uh, you know, it was resented from us because we didn't hear that before to that uh, um, extent. It was increased.
