Let me go back a littlebit further. How large was your family?
I had a brother and my parents. And my mother had aprolific family all of whom are gone. I had, I had four uncles and they eachhad a couple kids, none of whom survived. And uh, my father had a large familybut they didn't live to adulthood, you know. Only uh, three lived to adulthoodand both his brothers died over there. Just my father got out.
If you had to estimatefrom an extended family how large do you think, in 1935, say, how large was theextended family? Cousins, aunts, uncles.
Cousins, aunts, and uncles. That'd be twenty on oneside and eight-about thirty.
And how many survivedfrom that?
Uh, I have a cousin who survived, one uncle andthat's it.
And your parents.
My parents. My brother died here. He also taught atU of M.
Really.
Mm-hm.
