What kinds of stories were you hearing coming out of Germany about Hitler and the Youth?
We knew all that's, what is going on with the uh, with uh, Hitler oh, sending away people, knocking your door and come in and, and taking the family and sending them away. We knew all about that, yeah, because it was on the radio. In fact you could tune on uh, tune in Germany.
And your family spoke German.
Oh yeah, I, I spoke German before the war just the same.
