Could you tell me your name please and where you were born?

I'm Helen--from maiden name or my married name?

Your married name right now.

Helen Jutkevicz.

And where were you born?

I'm born in Poland, Łódź.

And Jutkevicz is your married name, what is your maiden name?

Czosniak.

Can you spell that for me?

Yes. C-Z-O-S-N-I-A-K.

Were you still living in Łódź when the war broke out?

Yes, --til '44. And then was Litzmannstadt ghetto in the--those are mine, hon.

Could you tell me something about what you remember of life in Łódź before the war?

Well before the war it was uh, very nice, quiet, like ???
