Conditions on Trip

Was Rosh Hashanah on the raft?

Yeah, we were on, yeah, my mom said--you see, the Law says if you start traveling before Yom Tov on the water, you, you're allowed to.

Yeah, okay.

So we left--and we had to because it was getting cold already.

The Law says that, really?

You, if you leave before the Holiday on a, on the water, it's okay to travel.

It's okay.

Yeah.

How long were you on the river?

Two weeks.

Two weeks.

Two weeks. I think so, two weeks.

Were there some terrifying moments?

Uh, [pause] Frightening, yes, when my mom was uh, drowning.

Oh, she fell over?

She fell over.

And what happened then?

She got herself out of the water.
