Outbreak of War

When the, when the war started...

Did, did your parents talk about it? Was there any discussion in your house?

I don't remember that sweetie. I remember they were talking about Hitler. They talked about the Germans. My father talked about ???. The Germans were good to the Jews but I don't know in 1912, which year did they came again to Poland, took over and they were...

First World War.

Yeah, First World War. They were good to the Jews so they expected that. It's gonna be better maybe. It's gonna be better. But the way it started looking, they took out all the people and they put them in ghettos and they only concentrate is on killing Jews, nothing else. And the poverty was worse and food was scarce. Even the normal time the big cities had problems with food you know because through Warsaw everything came in from the farms. So, I don't remember my father, we didn't talk about it. I don't, I don't remember that.
