Regina Cohen - April 18, 1982

Introduction

The following is a recording of Mrs. Regina Cohen being conducted on April 18, 1982 in Southfield, Michigan at Congregation Shaarey Zedek. The interviewer is Mrs. Eva Lipton.

Would you state your name, and where you were born, and your age?

My name is Regina Cohen. I was born in Chust, Czechoslovakia and I'm fifty...I'll be fifty-three years May the 4th.

Okay. I'd like to first talk about the time before the war, the time that you can remember. And I wondered if you could tell me something about your family life prior to 1939, your father's occupation, how many people were in your family?

All right, I come from fairly large family of nine children. My father had a business, which is called now um, modern, home modernization. Um, I went to school.
