"Organizing"

Things that came off the train.

Right. Yeah. I mean, delicious stuff. Baked goods you know, and cookies and jams.

But you organized them.

No, no, no. It was there. They didn't mind you, they didn't, they didn't care if you eat the whole thing. All they want is the gold.

Mm-hm.

Oh no, this thing was going in the garbage anyway. First of all, they didn't want anything from the Jews. But they did want the gold. I mean, you should see fur coats over there. [pause] Galore.

And who got the fur coats? The Germans took them back.

Well, I don't think you can use them, you know. They were all s...smushed up you know, with the, all the weight. I mean, that stuff stunk. It had a very terrible odor.
