Finding Religion III

I wanted some sort of identification with my parents but I--and also what do you call it? The um, churches had outreaches, this was in Los Angeles like the Beit Shalom where I could be with people like myself and um, they had dinners and they, they would discuss things and I met a gal--this gal Judy that uh, had been raised in the synagogue and she told me, you know, all about things she--she brought me I suppose. She did a lot of work on me so and, and um, told me all about the meanings of the Jewish customs and so then I thought well, what she's telling me is right. I did uh, she told me about the festivals and um, all the Jewish customs and I figured, well, this, this is where I belong because there were groups of Jews and Gentiles together and they were worshipping God and I figured that was my place.
