Kindertransport

Um, did you go to school?

I went to school in Canada.

But not in Prague.

Not in Prague. Uh, I did want to say that I do--I don't know whether it was pre-war but we went to England first from the Kindertransport and I will remember on the Kindertransport that I was on the train um, I guess once the war started and uh, we went to--that was--we had tags around our neck and I was very hungry. I remembered the trip and when we arrived there we arrived with these dog tags around our necks identifying and saying--and um, we arrived--I don't remember what it was. London Station?

Liverpool Street.

Liverpool, okay. And um, they--I recognized my uncle and--that came to meet me and so they took me and went to uh, we went to--we were there for I guess half a year and waited for passports from Canada, Cuba or Brazil.

So, who was with you on the train?

My brother. He was two years old.
