Listen to the podcast:
This podcast was produced by students at Warren G. Harding Middle School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as an eighth-grade reading/language arts project. Their teacher is Victoria Monacelli, and she wrote to Voice/Vision to ask if her students could use sections of the interviews on this website for a monthly podcast project. "I incorporate a tremendous amount of technology into the curriculum in order to engage students who very often have not been engaged in their own learning for many years. As a part of my literacy program my students produce a montly educational podcast show." (More student-produced podcasts are available at

Although it is about twelve minutes long, their podcast represents hours of research, recording, editing, composing music, and writing narrative on the part of the students, many of whom had never learned about the Holocaust. They were inspired by the Voice/Vision website and its audio of survivors' stories, and we, in turn, are inspired by them.
